I was contacted by Republic of tea to create an illustration for their Darjeeling tea series. This year, the first flush of tea leaves was being sourced from Steinthal Tea Estate, the oldest tea estate in Darjeeling, nestled amidst rolling hills, with natural forests, waterfalls, and a meandering river. This first flush tea leaf yields an amber-gold cup with rich floral notes. Sweet honey undertones enhance the lively flavor and lingering crisp finish.
